Get Married… on Myspace???

It seems MySpace has jumped on the reality show bandwagon with a new series called “Married on MySpace.” The reality-show part will take place online. They are being called Webisodes. This whole thing is being promoted as “the wedding of the century!” (Just remember, this century lasts for 91 more years.)
Let me just say one more time, this is a promotion. You’ll notice ads for the new movie “The Proposal” all over the site. But still, it’s kind of neat that someone will get to say they were so obsessed with social networking that they got married on Myspace.
I’m sure you expected this: MySpacers will get to decide who gets married by voting for their favorite couple.
What you may not expect: MySpacers will also decide what the bride and groom wear, where they have their bachelor and bachelorette parties, and the wedding location.
Um… How can this be someone’s dream wedding when others make the final decisions? What if the bride’s dream was to marry on a private boat on their grandpa’s pond? What if MySpacers decide to have them get married in a cave? You see… this could be a disaster! Because it’s supposed to be a reality show, should we expect tears and drama?
