20This is a must-read for anyone who wants to know about the future of web 2.0 and the military. It’s called “WTF? Military Web 2.0 Report Actually Making Sense.” WIRED Magazine features this sneak-peek of a report called “Social Software and National Security.” It’s co-written by Gov 2.0 guru Mark Drapeau who raises some great points about how security can hinder people’s ability to do their jobs. Take a look at this article because down the line, we’ll start seeing this implemented.

In two days, leaders will head to the Summit of the Americas. To get ready, the State Department worked on several web 2.0 components, including a Digital Town Hall full of facts and interactivity. This is a great example of how the government can use social media tools in an effective way. I discovered this on Mashable; the article is called “State Department Gets Hip to Social Media.” Don’t forget to take a look at the video.

This article from PC World is called “10 Twitter Tips for the Workplace.” It’s less about how employees will use Twitter, and more about how an organization should start their Twitter experience. Includes planning, implementing, and maintaining a solid and useful Twitter feed.
