I wonder if a certified professional organizer could help a hoarder if the hoarder isn't getting help to deal with this form of OCD or the other underlying issues. I don't think so. One of my friends is a hoarder, and I didn't realize that when I had asked to stay two nights at her place. It was very tough not to say/do/clean anything, but most of all, it was tough to realize that my brilliant and beautiful friend was obviously struggling with some serious emotional issues.
