Lindsey Mastis is a Digital Correspondent with WUSA 9 News Now, a local CBS affilate in Washington, DC.

Lindsey previously anchored News 3 This Morning for WSIL-TV in Southern Illinois, where more than 1,800 people participated in her “Spark Your Health” series online. The series about weight loss, nutrition, and healthy living, broadcast every week.

Some of Lindsey’s accomplishments include tracking down a missing child predator, a stay inside the Williamson County Jail, a series on government waste spending, and an inside look at homeless families.

Lindsey previously sat on board of directors for the Illinois News Broadcasters Association and chaired the INBA Cams and Mics Committee which spearheads efforts to bring broadcast coverage to Illinois trial and federal courts. She also speaks with high school students about journalism and the broadcasting industry.

Lindsey graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from SIUC. She interned at ABC’s Nightline in Washington, D.C., WFAA-TV in Dallas, and FOX 2 News in St. Louis. Lindsey also completed a two-week international studies program in Britain and France.
